Dora x Gore
Ruel Jun Andaya, together with Aris del Rosario, creating strong concept of Dora the Explorer, an American animated television series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner. I hopethe remarkable artwork won’t break your heart but nothing could be more annoyingly-fun to see another version of Dora: a more violent and more brutal one that’s only suitable for adult consumption.
Barong & Legong
Pale horse, illustrators and graphic designers that worked for Hasbro, Sanrio, Iron Fist, DC Comics, Computer Arts, Wired Magazine and many others, create an illustration of Bali mask featuring Barong and Legong for an exhibit called ‘Honey, Poison & My Country’ at Salihara Gallery in Indonesia.
Barong is a lion-like creature and character in the mythology of Bali, Indonesia. He is the king of the spirits, leader of the hosts of good, and enemy of Rangda, the demon queen and mother of all spirit guarders in the mythological traditions of Bali.
Meanwhhile, Legong is a form of Balinese dance. It is a refined dance form characterized by intricate finger movements, complicated footwork, and expressive gestures and facial expressions. The dramatics are enacted in elaborate and stylized pantomime and classical Legong enacts several traditional stories.
Back to Pale Horse’s artworks, the tee is now available at Pale Horse’ merchline.
Friend-ship
There’s Irish proverb saying,
There are good ships and there are wood ships, the ships that sail the sea. But the best ships are friendships, and may they always be.
Well, who doesn’t agree with that? This design by Harebrained might illustrate that friendships are like lifeboats, they prove totally useful when you really need them just like the Irish saying. Harebrained called himself a tall man with a pencil and a computer. He’s fueled by beer and puppies. More awesome stuff on his Tumblr.
Colour Me Wednesday w/ Aky
Akbar Ali a.k.a aky-aky on his works for Colour Me Wednesday Merch:
…and a Tuts patch throne in for good measure. Just wanted to take a few progress snaps, (these aren’t very good photos).
My designs have a purpose in life now! CMW have been beavering away relentlessly to get the designs onto t-shirts, and patches. There’s also lovely tote bags that have been hand printed with love too, (very good quality I might add). Need to take pictures of them. If you live around West London go see these crafty, DIY bands live on Sunday at Uxbridge.
Akbar Ali is an illustrator and librarian based in London who call himself “a freelance Illustrator who eats frangipane tarts”. He recently made his lovely artworks comes to live on Colour Me Wednesday (CMW) official tee shirt merchandise. As the a punk/indie-pop/ska band from London Borough of Hillingdon, put it on the words:
…wouldn’t have it any other way because he is the best illustrator on the planet!

Who disagree that the most popular pizza in Italy is the quattro stagioni pie? It’s representing the four seasons of toppings: artichokes for spring, olives for summer, mushrooms for autumn and prosciutto for winter.
Thanks to graphic artist and illustrator Diana Vicedo, as the we enjoy four seasons of Italian delicacy, it’s also printed on LaFraise T-shirt and can be worn throughout the year.
BOHOO
If you are an animal lover, then this might be your favor.
Super-cute and funny concept of Boohoo by Aaron Thong (tumblr) based on the idea of a owl and a ghost which they are making sounds together. What does it mean? Well, art peeps can explain many answers. But at this time, I can’t really make a little bit of summary. Need to go elsewhere? Aaron on Society6.
Zombie Yeti Studios, the alter ego of designer Jeremy A. Packer, worked with Zoltron on Primus 2011 tour merchandise tee last year. The artwork based on one-eye serious-looking primate in spaceship helmet, smoking on pipe. The above shows the process from sketch to final art for print.
