This is why Lincoln is considered as one of the greatest president ever; He faced dissention in the North, rebellion in the South, and for over four years worked magic that any other person on Earth could have done. He held the Union of the North together, and made the right decisions which prevented the country from being split in two.
But will the zombie Lincoln do the same?
Bane x Dark Night
Francis Arcega aka Studio8worx is a graphic artist born in Manila, Philippines. He recently won Design by Humans’ tee shirt design challenge “The Dark Knight Rises”.
The tee shirt artworks entitled The Rising Shadow utilizes a variety of brushes, textures and contrasts that make this silver Dark Knight Shirt dominate. The aggression of Bane and the stealth of Batman are combined nicely in abstract-sketch form.
In this illustrated imagination, we see Bane and the Dark Knight combine their strength, speed and supremacy within this shirt design. A simple concept with an explosive style. Check out the illustrated tutorial.
If you’re a fan of Tim Burton, you’re probably aware that he likes to draw. Certain sketches stay with him, and provide the genesis of ideas that he explores in detail in his films and other work.
When Burton first drew his iconic character Edward Scissorhands, he had sharper instruments than those seen in the movie, but the emotional thrust remained the same; here was a person who wanted an emotional connection and wanted to be touched, but couldn’t actually be touched because of the sharpness of the instruments — isn’t this a brilliant metaphor for an inability to form close relationships?
You won’t find many t shirts that work on as many levels as this one. It is a beautiful piece of art, an intricate technical illustration and a potent symbol of the central idea in the story of Edward Scissorhands. This is movie geek chic at its very best!
